CLINCHCROSS (Marion, NC area)

Originally Built and Used By: Clinchfield. Railroad Line - Present: CSX. This is the famous "Clinchcross"spot where the Clinchfield RR tunneled under the Southern Rwy. The abutment in the photo is the ex Southern, now Norfolk Southern overpass. The station has since been demolished.
