DENTON

Former High Point, Thomasville & Denton Railroad section house or tool house. The Railroad Station Historical Society web site lists a brick station house in Denton. John D. Jones, who took these photographs, identified the building as a tool house. He comments that: "Having worked for SCL to CSXT in roadway for 30 years, it is the design of a motor car/tool house as was commonly used by the railroads, although ours were wood. The sections would have reported to work there as that is where the motor car would be headquartered, so I guess it could be called either, but maybe section house would be a better description."
