Louisville & Nashville Railroad Depot, Etowah, TN

Photos by Ken Humphreys

The City of Etowah, Tennessee has restored the 1906 Louisville & Nashville Depot in Etowa. This impressive Victorian structure now serves as a railroad museum. The displays are all of railroadiana and photos. The only piece of rolling stock is L&N bay window caboose #100 which sits in a lot adjacent to the museum. The CSX mainline line is immediately behind the museum. Scenic train rides on the Tennessee Valley Railroad through the Hiwassee River Gorge and a variety of other rail excursions depart from the museum. For information see http://www.tvrail.com
