High Point, NC

High Point, Thomasville & Denton freight motor which that company ran on part of the old NC Public Service Company’s High Point street car line from 1937-1944. According to Dr. Jeff Miller and Jim Vaughan’s book on the WSSB and HPT&D, the old Westinghouse motor expired in 1944 and was replaced by the HPT&D’s first diesel, a GE 44-tonner. The photo is from Mac Connery’s collection.
