High Point, NC
High Point, Thomasville & Denton freight motor which
that company ran on part of the old NC Public Service Company’s High Point street car line
from 1937-1944. According to Dr. Jeff Miller and Jim Vaughan’s book
on the WSSB and HPT&D, the old Westinghouse motor expired in 1944 and
was replaced by the HPT&D’s first diesel, a GE 44-tonner. The photo is from
