San Francisco, California

San Francisco is well known for its famous cable cars which traverse the steep hills of the city. Depicted here are these famous vehicles at the Market Street end of the line in Sept. 2006.

Not as well known, but equally impressive to the rail buff, is San Francisco's collection of historic trolleys which operate along the Embarcadero. These PCC cars were photographed in September 2006. Both were operating along Market Street to the Embarcadero on Route F.
